Hyundai MIP, founded in 1975, started its business as a shipyard specialized in ship repair and conversion. Ever since 1996, Hyundai MIP has focused its business on the new building of medium-sized commercial ships and has been solidifying its presence on this shipbuilding sector.

The company specializes in building medium-sized types of commercial vessels such as medium ranged product/chemical tankers, containerships, self-unloading bulk carriers and more, as well as special ships including cable layers, drill ships, pipe layers, etc.

Now Hyundai MIP is devolving its ship repair and conversion business along with its invaluable experience and comprehensive service quality to a joint venture shipyard, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) in Vietnam.
